Drawdown & Loss Monitor & Block

Weekly Loss Cap

Tracks weekly realized losses and pauses trading when the cap is hit.

How It Works

PipsGuard tracks your cumulative realized losses for the current trading week. When your weekly losses reach the configured cap, trading is paused — you literally cannot open new positions until the next week starts.

Optionally includes floating losses in the calculation and can auto-close all positions on breach. The weekly counter resets automatically on your configured start day.

Configuration

Parameter Default Description
max_weekly_loss_percent 5.0% Maximum weekly loss as % of balance
include_floating true Include unrealized losses in calculation
auto_close_on_breach false Close all positions when cap is hit
week_start_day Monday When the weekly counter resets

When This Rule Fires

Block: Pauses all new trade requests once the weekly cap is reached.
Auto-close (optional): Closes all open positions when cap is breached.
