How It Works
After any losing trade closes, PipsGuard blocks all new trade requests for the configured cooldown period. Simple, aggressive, and effective. This is the most direct weapon against revenge trading.
The timer starts the moment a losing trade is closed. During the cooldown window, any attempt to open a new position is rejected. You are physically unable to trade until the timer expires.

When This Rule Fires
Pre-trade: After any losing trade closes, all new trade requests are blocked for cooldown_minutes. The block lifts automatically when the timer expires.
After wins: If apply_after_wins is enabled, the cooldown triggers after every trade — win or loss — creating a universal pause between trades.
Best For
Revenge traders — the #1 target for this rule
Emotional traders who act impulsively after losses
Anyone who knows they should wait but can't
Pro Tips
- Start with 5 minutes and increase if you find yourself still trading emotionally.
- Setting apply_after_wins to true creates a universal cooldown — useful if you also overtrade after wins (euphoria trading).
- Pair with Loss Streak for layered protection: Emotional Trading Block handles every individual loss, while Loss Streak adds a longer mandatory break after 3+ consecutive losses.
