Getting started with PipsGuard
Step 1: Create your account
Go to app.pipsguard.com/register. Enter your email and create a password. Verify your email address by clicking the link we send you.
Step 2: Choose your plan
Pick a plan based on how many accounts you trade:
- Guardian ($49/mo): 1 MT5 account with all custom rules
- Sentinel ($89/mo): 3 MT5 accounts with all custom rules
- Overlord ($149/mo): 7 MT5 accounts with a dedicated IP
Annual billing saves up to 22%. Need more accounts than your plan includes? Add extra account slots for $25/mo each ($20/mo billed annually) any time from your dashboard.
Step 3: Connect your MT5 account
From your dashboard, click "Add Account." Enter your broker name, MT5 server address, MT5 login number, and MT5 password.
PipsGuard then connects to your broker, which usually takes 30-60 seconds. You'll see a green "Connected" status when ready. Your MT5 login is only used to connect the account. From here on, you place your trades in the PipsGuard app, not in the MetaTrader terminal.
Step 4: Set up your rules
Navigate to the Rules tab for your account. Turn on the rules you want. A good place to start:
- Trailing Drawdown: set your maximum drawdown percentage
- Max Margin Usage: cap leverage exposure as a % of equity
- Max Loss Per Trade: cap the risk on each position
Each rule has configurable parameters. Set them according to your trading plan or prop firm requirements.
Step 5: Trade as usual
Place your trades through PipsGuard and trade as you normally would. PipsGuard runs around the clock, including while you sleep and with your PC off. When a rule is breached, it acts on its own: depending on the rule, it closes positions, blocks the trade or pauses trading.
What happens next?
Your account is now protected, and your rules stay on around the clock. Check your dashboard for rule breach notifications, trading analytics, and account status.
